Primary Air Control

Primary air feeds the base of the fire and is the main control for lighting and building a strong flame. Depending on your model, this is adjusted one of three ways:

Sliding vent — a row of louvres beneath the door. Slide toward + to open and let more air in, or toward to close it down once the fire is established.

Sliding plate — a solid damper plate that covers or exposes the air inlet. Slide toward + to open, toward to close — a flat tool such as a screwdriver makes this easier to reach and adjust.

Rotating key — a key-style regulator turned with a flat tool. Turn toward + to open, toward to close.

Whichever type your stove has, open primary air fully when lighting or reloading to build a strong flame quickly. Once the fire is established, close it down and let secondary and tertiary air take over for cleaner, more efficient burning.

Damper Control

The damper regulates draught in the fireplace chimney. When open, it sits parallel to the flue, letting smoke and hot gases draw freely — the correct position for lighting the fire and while it's actively burning. When closed, it rotates across the flue, restricting the opening and slowing the draught.

Partially closing the damper once the fire is established can extend burn time by slowing combustion, but never close it fully while the fireplace is in use, as this can cause smoke to back up into the room.

Prity K22 CP Wood Burning Stove – 10.4 kW

Serious Heat. A Cast Iron Cooking Plate.

The Prity K22 CP takes the K22's 10.4 kW tall firebox and twin-door front, and adds a full cast iron cooking plate on top — so the same fire heating your room can also simmer a pot or keep food warm. A built-in open storage shelf at the base keeps logs close at hand.

Class A energy efficiency. Simple primary air control. Over 30 years of Bulgarian engineering behind it.

How Much Space Can It Heat?

The K22 CP is suitable for heating spaces of up to approximately 75 m², depending on insulation, ceiling height, and room layout. It works well as the primary heat source for larger living rooms and open-plan spaces, or as a supplementary heat source in bigger homes.

A Cast Iron Cooking Plate

The full cast iron top plate distributes heat slowly and evenly across its surface, holding a stable temperature rather than swinging hot and cold the way thin sheet metal does. It's well suited to simmering soups and stews, keeping food warm, boiling water, and slow cooking — anything that benefits from gentle, even heat rather than the raw intensity of a modern hob.

Simple, Direct Air Control

Unlike the multi-stage combustion systems used on larger Prity models, the K22 CP is built around a single primary air control. Open it to light the fire and build a strong flame quickly; close it down once combustion is established to slow the burn and extend your fuel. It's a straightforward system with fewer moving parts — easy to operate, easy to maintain.

The result: 77.4% efficiency from a single-control design.

Class A. EU Certified. Ready for European Winters.

The K22 CP carries an Energy Efficiency Class A rating, with an Energy Efficiency Index of 103. It meets the full requirements of EU Ecodesign Regulation 2015/1185, making it fully compliant for installation and use across all EU member states.

Its 68% seasonal heating efficiency reflects real-world performance across an entire heating season — not just peak laboratory conditions.

30 Years of European Engineering Behind Every Weld

Prity has been manufacturing solid fuel heating appliances in Gorna Oryahovitsa, Bulgaria since 1995. Every Prity stove is manufactured to BDS EN 13240, the European standard for solid fuel room heaters, and independently verified by TÜV NORD — one of Europe's most respected technical certification authorities.

Your K22 CP comes with a 24-month manufacturer's warranty.
