Damper Control

The flue damper regulates chimney draught. Open it fully when lighting the fire or reloading, to help smoke draw properly. Once the fire is established, partially closing it slows the draught and extends burn time.

Primary Air Control

The primary air control regulates airflow into the base of the firebox, feeding the fire directly from below. Slide the control toward + to open it, or toward to close it — a flat tool such as a screwdriver makes this easier to reach and adjust.

Open primary air fully when lighting the fire or reloading, to build a strong flame quickly. Once the fire is established, close it down to slow combustion and switch to secondary and tertiary air for cleaner, more efficient burning.

Fireplace Insert with Cast Iron Door and Window Frames Prity TC – 16 kW

Cast Iron on Every Side You Can See.

The Prity TC is glazed on three sides — front and both angled sides — and dresses all of it in cast iron, not just the main door. The two side windows are cast iron-framed as well, so the material's heat-holding character carries around the whole visible face of the insert, not just the front. The result is a wide, panoramic view of the fire from multiple angles of the room, built with the same heavy, heat-retaining material used in the best stoves for generations.

With 16 kW of radiant heat and class A+ energy efficiency, the Prity TC pairs that heavier, more traditional construction with genuinely strong heating performance.

Made in Bulgaria. EU Ecodesign compliant.

How Much Space Can It Heat?

Prity doesn't publish an official heated-area figure for the Prity TC, so this is our own estimate, based on the heated-area-to-power ratio observed across comparable Prity models in our range (roughly 7.5 m² per kW). At 16 kW, that puts the Prity TC at approximately 120 m², depending on insulation, ceiling height, and room layout.

Cast Iron Door and Window Frames: Heat Retention All Around

Cast iron absorbs heat progressively during combustion and releases it back slowly — long after sheet steel would have cooled. On the Prity TC, that material isn't limited to the main door: the two angled side windows are cast iron-framed as well, giving the whole front of the insert the same slow, steady heat retention rather than just the central panel. Ceramic glass throughout keeps the fire visible from the front and both angles, kept clear by the secondary air wash system that runs fresh air across the inner glass surfaces during burning.

A Wide, Panoramic Firebox

The combustion chamber measures 910 mm wide, 450 mm deep, and 280 mm high — one of the widest fireboxes in our entire range, giving the fire real presence across the full width of the insert and both side windows.

Clean Combustion, A+ Efficiency

The Prity TC achieves a combustion efficiency (η) of 81.1% and a seasonal space heating energy efficiency of 72%, with an energy efficiency index of 109 — placing it firmly in energy class A+. Emissions at nominal output are controlled across the board: CO at 1068 mg/Nm³, particulate matter at 29 mg/Nm³, NOx at 90 mg/Nm³, and OGC at 28 mg/Nm³ — all within EU Ecodesign limits.

Fuel consumption at nominal output is 4.9 kg of dry wood per hour, with a flue gas temperature of 190°C and a mass flow rate of 12.6 g/s.

Important Installation Note

The Prity TC uses a Ø200 mm flue outlet and requires a minimum chimney draught of 12.6 Pa. Please confirm your chimney connection is compatible with this diameter before ordering. Its three-sided glazing means installation requires careful planning of the surrounding hearth structure on both sides as well as the front — professional installation is strongly recommended. At 150 kg, the unit also needs a floor and framing capable of supporting the weight.

Overall dimensions: 1080 × 590 × 670 mm (W × D × H).

30 Years of European Engineering Behind Every Weld

Prity has manufactured solid fuel heating appliances in Gorna Oryahovitsa, Bulgaria, since 1995. With more than 250 production staff and a range refined across three decades, the company builds inserts that earn their place in a home for years. Every unit is manufactured to the relevant EN standards and independently verified.
