Flue Damper

The flue damper regulates chimney draught. Open it fully when lighting the fire or reloading, to help smoke draw properly. Once the fire is established, partially closing it slows the draught and extends burn time.

Understanding Your Fireplace Controls

This fireplace insert uses a three-stage air system for clean, efficient combustion, plus two simple controls for maintenance.

① Primary air feeds the base of the fire for quick lighting — close it once the fire is established. ② Secondary air enters above the door, sustaining the flame and washing the glass to keep it clear. ③ Tertiary air completes combustion by mixing the flue gases for maximum heat extraction.

④ The damper, located on the flue pipe, controls chimney draught — open when lighting or reloading, partially closed to slow the burn. ⑤ The deflector directs hot gases across the firebox before they exit, so more heat stays in the room instead of escaping up the flue. ⑥ The cleaning access panel gives you direct access for routine maintenance.

Using the Ventilation Fan

① The speed regulator controls how fast the fan runs, from 0 (off) to 4 (maximum). Adjust it to suit how much warm air you want circulated.

② The fan switch has two settings: [on] runs the fan continuously at the selected speed, while [off] lets a thermostat control the fan automatically, switching it on only once the insert reaches operating temperature.

Chamber Lining: Leave Room for Service Access

When lining the chamber, leave service openings (doors) for ① and ②:

① Access hatch — a hole for reaching the service hatch used to clean the chamber.

② Fan removal opening — large enough that the turbine fan ③ can be pulled out through it if it ever needs servicing or replacement.

Skipping these openings now means cutting into a finished chamber later.

Prity CF E Fireplace Insert with Air Jacket – 16.5 kW

Radiant Heat in the Room. Warm Air Wherever You Route It.

The Prity CF E pairs a powerful 16.5 kW firebox with a built-in air jacket — a convection chamber that draws in cool air, warms it as it circulates around the firebox, and releases it through dual Ø128 mm ducts. That means you can route warm air not just into the room where the insert sits, but into an adjoining space entirely, extending its reach well beyond a standard insert.

With a firebox that runs on just 1.2 kg of wood per hour at nominal output — remarkably low for this power class — and an 82.6% efficiency rating, very little of what you burn goes to waste. Energy Class A+, with an EEI of 109.

How Much Space Can It Heat?

The CF E is suitable for heating spaces of up to 125 m², depending on insulation, ceiling height, and room layout — and further still if the air jacket ducting is routed to heat an additional room beyond the one it's installed in.

The Air Jacket: One Fire, Two Rooms

Most fireplace inserts heat only the room they're installed in. The CF E's air jacket changes that. Cool air is drawn into the chamber surrounding the firebox, heats as it passes across the hot metal casing, and exits through two Ø128 mm ducts — one of which can be routed through a wall or ceiling void to deliver warm air directly into a second room, while the other continues to vent into the room where the insert sits.

A built-in fan drives this air circulation. A speed regulator lets you control airflow intensity, and a switch lets you choose between continuous forced operation or automatic thermostat control, which only runs the fan once the insert has reached operating temperature. This works alongside the insert's direct radiant heat, which continues to warm the room through the ceramic glass door regardless of how the ducted air is routed.

A Large Firebox, Efficiently Burned

The firebox measures 536 × 496 × 326 mm — spacious enough for substantial log loads — yet the CF E consumes only 1.2 kg of wood per hour at nominal output, a notably efficient burn rate for a unit producing 16.5 kW. The flue gas temperature of just 213°C confirms that heat is being extracted from the fire rather than lost up the chimney.

Emissions at nominal power are CO 955.0 mg/Nm³, dust 22.0 mg/Nm³, NOx 81.0 mg/Nm³, and OGC 102.0 mg/Nm³, all measured at 13% O2 — within EU Ecodesign limits. The seasonal space heating energy efficiency (ηs) of 71.5% reflects real performance across a full heating season, not just laboratory conditions.

Installation Requirements

The CF E uses a Ø200 mm flue outlet and requires a minimum chimney draught of 13 Pa. As with all fireplace inserts, installing a flexible stainless steel liner inside your existing chimney is necessary to ensure safe and efficient operation — your existing chimney flue alone is rarely sufficient. A qualified installer will assess your chimney and confirm the correct liner diameter before installation.

The fan requires a standard electrical connection near the installation site. At 180 kg, this is a substantial unit. Professional installation is strongly recommended, and you should confirm your fireplace opening can accommodate the CF E's dimensions before ordering.

30 Years of European Engineering Behind Every Weld

Prity has been manufacturing solid fuel heating appliances in Gorna Oryahovitsa, Bulgaria since 1995. With over 250 production workers and a product range refined over three decades, they build inserts that earn their place in a home for many years. Every unit is manufactured to EN 13229, the European standard for fireplace inserts, including open fires burning solid fuels.

Your CF E comes with a 24-month manufacturer's warranty.
