The Combustion System, Explained

This stove uses a three-stage air system for clean, efficient combustion.

① Primary air regulator feeds the base of the fire for quick lighting — close it once the fire is established. ② Secondary air regulator enters above the fire, sustaining the flame and keeping the glass clear. ③ Tertiary air regulator controls the final stage of combustion, directing air to fully burn the remaining flue gases before they exit.

④ The flue damper controls chimney draught — open when lighting or reloading, partially closed to slow the burn. ⑤ The steel reflector and ⑥ vermiculite reflector work together to direct heat back across the firebox rather than letting it escape up the chimney, with the vermiculite layer also helping retain heat after the flames die down. ⑦ Tertiary air enters the firebox at this point, completing the mix that the regulator at ③ controls.

Air Controls: Primary, Secondary, Tertiary

This stove uses three separate controls to manage combustion at each stage.

(A) Primary air — a rotating regulator at the base of the firebox. Turn it clockwise (green) to open for lighting and reloading, or counter-clockwise (red) to close once the fire is established.

(B) Secondary air — a sliding lever above the door. Slide right (green) to open and sustain the flame, or left (red) to close it, reducing airflow and slowing the burn.

(C) Tertiary air — a lever beneath the firebox. Move it toward OPEN (green) to complete combustion by mixing the remaining flue gases, or toward CLOSED (red) to reduce it.

As a general rule: open all three fully when lighting or reloading, then gradually close primary and tertiary air once the fire is established, using secondary air to maintain a steady, visible flame.

Damper Control

The damper regulates draught in the fireplace chimney. When open, it sits parallel to the flue, letting smoke and hot gases draw freely — the correct position for lighting the fire and while it's actively burning. When closed, it rotates across the flue, restricting the opening and slowing the draught.

Partially closing the damper once the fire is established can extend burn time by slowing combustion, but never close it fully while the fireplace is in use, as this can cause smoke to back up into the room.

Prity KDK Wood Burning Stove – 9.3 kW

There Is No Other Stove That Looks Like This.

Walk into a room with a Prity KDK and you will know immediately why it was chosen. The sweeping domed top, the bold arched crown, the confident verticality of the whole silhouette — this is a stove that has a personality. In a market full of rectangular black boxes, the KDK is something genuinely different.

Beneath the distinctive exterior is a thoroughly capable heating appliance: 9.3 kW of heat output, 81.3% efficiency, and Energy Efficiency Class A+ — the same proven performance found across the Prity professional range, housed in a body that turns heads every time someone walks into the room.

TÜV NORD certified. Built in Bulgaria since 1995.

How Much Space Can It Heat?

The KDK is suitable for heating spaces of up to 70 m², depending on insulation, ceiling height, and room layout. Its tall, commanding profile at 973 mm makes it particularly well suited to rooms with higher ceilings and generous floor plans where a compact stove would look lost — spaces that deserve a stove with presence.

A Silhouette Unlike Anything Else in the Market

The KDK's domed crown is not a functional addition — it is a design choice, pure and simple. Prity built this stove for homeowners who want something that cannot be mistaken for anything else, that sparks conversation, and that brings a sense of character and individuality to a room that no standard rectangular stove can offer.

The dome rises above the firebox body in a smooth, confident arc, giving the stove a profile that sits comfortably in traditional interiors, eclectic spaces, and anywhere a standard stove would feel too ordinary. At 973 mm tall, it commands the room from the floor up — a focal point that earns its place not just by heating the space but by defining it.

Proven Performance Inside the Distinctive Shell

The firebox at the heart of the KDK is lined with heat-retaining firebricks that absorb intense heat during combustion and release it steadily back into the room long after the flames have settled. The ceramic glass door gives a clear, unobstructed view of the fire — warm, living light that adds to the atmosphere the KDK's silhouette creates.

The stove sits on small feet that lift it slightly off the floor, completing the sense that this is a considered, finished object rather than an appliance simply placed in a room.

Triple Combustion Technology: 81.3% Efficiency

The KDK uses Prity's triple air combustion system, giving you precise control over the burn at every stage.

Primary air ignites the fire quickly and draws the chimney to life — then closes down once combustion is stable. Secondary air sustains the main burn and continuously washes the ceramic glass door clean, keeping the fire visible throughout. Tertiary air fully mixes the combustion gases to extract maximum energy from every log.

The result: 81.3% efficiency — the same performance benchmark achieved by the best stoves in the Prity standard range, delivered in a body that looks like nothing else in it.

A+ Rated. EU Certified. Ready for European Winters.

The KDK carries an Energy Efficiency Class A+ rating and fully meets EU Ecodesign Regulation 2015/1185, making it compliant for installation and use across all EU member states. Its 71.3% seasonal heating efficiency reflects consistent real-world performance across an entire heating season.

Important Installation Note

The KDK uses a Ø150 mm flue outlet. Please verify your chimney connection is compatible with this diameter before ordering. Its height of 973 mm should also be considered when planning placement. Consult a qualified installer if you are unsure.
