Damper Control
The flue damper regulates chimney draught. Open it fully when lighting the fire or reloading, to help smoke draw properly. Once the fire is established, partially closing it slows the draught and extends burn time.
Primary Air Control
The primary air control regulates airflow into the base of the firebox, feeding the fire directly from below. Slide the control toward + to open it, or toward – to close it — a flat tool such as a screwdriver makes this easier to reach and adjust.
Open primary air fully when lighting the fire or reloading, to build a strong flame quickly. Once the fire is established, close it down to slow combustion and switch to secondary and tertiary air for cleaner, more efficient burning.
Double-Sided Fireplace Insert Prity 2CM – 13.5 kW
Fire You Can See From Both Sides
Most fireplaces belong to one room. The Prity 2CM belongs to two. Its glazed firebox opens on both faces, letting the same fire be seen — and felt — from either side. Built into a wall between a living room and a dining room, a hallway and a lounge, or any two spaces you want to connect rather than divide, the 2CM turns the fireplace itself into the room divider.
With 13.5 kW of radiant heat and a Class A energy efficiency rating, it's built to do more than look striking from two directions — it heats generously while doing it.
Built in Bulgaria. EU Ecodesign compliant.
How Much Space Can It Heat?
Prity doesn't publish an official heated-area figure for the 2CM, so this is our own estimate, based on the heating-area-to-output ratio across comparable Prity models in our range (roughly 7.5 m² per kW, averaged across the FG D, K1 D, KDK, CMR E, and PM3/PMV3/PM3L E). At 13.5 kW, that puts the 2CM at approximately 100 m² total, split across the two adjoining rooms it sits between — since heat radiates from both faces, expect meaningfully less coverage per individual room than a single-sided insert of the same output.
Glass on Both Sides: Fire as a Room Divider
The defining feature of the 2CM is straightforward: it has no back. Where a conventional insert has a single glazed front and a solid rear, the 2CM is glazed front and back, with the firebox open to both. Installed into a partition wall, it lets flame, light, and warmth pass between two rooms that would otherwise be visually separate — without giving up the heat output of a serious wood-burning insert.
This makes it a natural fit for open-concept renovations, room dividers between kitchen and living areas, or any layout where a solid wall currently blocks both light and warmth from reaching a second space.
Primary Air Control
Primary air feeds the base of the fire and is your main control for lighting and building a strong flame — open it fully when lighting or reloading, then close it down once the fire is established. Secondary air enters on its own through fixed openings at the top of the door — there's no separate control for it, it works automatically as the fire burns, sustaining the flame and helping keep the glass clear on both sides.
Clean Combustion, Class A Efficiency
The 2CM reaches an efficiency (η) of 77.7% and a seasonal space heating energy efficiency of 69%, with an energy efficiency index of 104 — placing it firmly in energy class A. Emissions at nominal output are controlled across the board: CO at 1,229 mg/Nm³, particulate matter at just 24 mg/Nm³, NOx at 90 mg/Nm³, and OGC at 12 mg/Nm³ — all within EU Ecodesign limits.
Fuel consumption at nominal power is 4.2 kg of dry wood per hour, with a flue gas temperature of 290°C and a mass flow of 9.5 g/s.
Important Installation Note
The 2CM uses a Ø150 mm flue outlet and requires a minimum chimney draught of 12.8 Pa. Because the firebox is open on two sides, installation requires careful planning of the surrounding structure and hearth on both faces — professional installation is strongly recommended. At 90 kg, the unit also needs a floor and framing capable of supporting the weight on both sides of the wall it's built into.
30 Years of European Engineering Behind Every Weld
Prity has manufactured solid-fuel heating appliances in Gorna Oryahovitsa, Bulgaria, since 1995. With more than 250 production staff and a range refined across three decades, the company builds inserts that earn their place in a home for many years. Every unit is manufactured to relevant EN standards and independently verified.
Your 2CM ships with a 24-month manufacturer warranty.

Box Contents
Double-sided insert body with heat-resistant glazing on both faces, technical manual.
Use only dry, chemically untreated natural wood with a moisture content not exceeding 20%. Do not burn household waste, painted wood, plywood, or treated wood. Always consult a qualified installer before connecting the appliance to your chimney system, and before building the surrounding structure for a two-sided installation. Note: this model requires a Ø150 mm connection.
