Large open-plan spaces, farmhouses, workshops, hunting lodges — places with high ceilings, exposed beams, or simply a lot of floor area that smaller stoves give up on by midwinter. The Prity D was built for exactly these spaces. With 17.8 kW of radiant heat output, it is one of the most powerful freestanding wood stoves in the Prity range — capable of heating spaces of up to approximately 137 m², depending on insulation, ceiling height, and room layout.

It looks the part too. The arched dome cap above the firebox isn't decorative — it's a functional open log storage alcove that keeps a ready supply of split wood warming at height, dry and close to the fire. Below it, a wide landscape-format ceramic glass door reveals one of the largest fireboxes in the range: 570 mm wide, 466 mm deep, 374 mm tall. Long logs, big fires, serious heat.

How Much Space Can It Heat?

The Prity D delivers 17.8 kW, suitable for heating spaces of up to approximately 137 m² in well-insulated properties, or large single rooms, open-plan living areas, and commercial or agricultural spaces with standard construction. It is Prity's answer to spaces that demand genuine high-output heating — not supplementary warmth, but a primary heat source that can carry the whole room.

A Firebox Built for Long Logs and Long Fires

At 570 × 466 mm internally, the Prity D's firebox is among the widest in the entire Prity catalog. Full-length unsplit logs can be loaded without preparation, reducing the labour of keeping it fed. At 5.6 kg/h fuel consumption at rated output, this is a stove that runs hard — but the 79.1% efficiency ensures that the large fuel appetite translates into heat, not wasted smoke up the chimney.

The firebox is lined with heat-retaining firebricks that absorb the intense heat of a large fire and release it steadily into the room. The arched log storage alcove above the main body keeps a session's worth of wood warming close at hand — a practical feature on a stove designed for long, cold days.

EU Ecodesign Compliant. Certified to EN 13240.

The Prity D carries an Energy Efficiency Class A rating and a seasonal efficiency (ηs) of 69.5%, comfortably meeting the EU Ecodesign Regulation 2015/1185 requirements for sale and installation across the EU. Its CO emissions of 775 mg/Nm³ sit well below the permitted maximum, and PM at 37 mg/Nm³ is within EU limits.

Note: the Prity D uses a Ø130 mm flue outlet — slightly narrower than the 150 mm standard found on most other Prity models. Confirm flue dimensions before ordering if connecting to an existing chimney system.

Use only dry, chemically untreated natural wood or wood briquettes without adhesives. Wood moisture content must not exceed 20%. Do not burn household waste, painted wood, plywood, or impregnated timber. Always consult a qualified installer before connecting to your chimney system. Note: this model uses a Ø130 mm flue connection — confirm compatibility with your chimney before purchase.
